Abstract: The project seeks to bring clarity to the legal protection of minorities through a comprehensive analysis of the applicability of international instruments in domestic legislation, thereby producing a scientific article as part of the research component. Additionally, it aims to contribute to an open forum discussion on the roles played by the Ombudsman, the Commissioner against Discrimination, and the Committee of National Minorities in the protection of minorities. Albanian and diaspora scholars will contribute to the improvement of Law Clinic curricula by examining international jurisprudence and domestic practice in dealing with the legal protection of minorities.

Abstract: On 6 July 2023, the Albanian Parliament adopted the first arbitration law. For years, arbitration issues in Albania were regulated by some provisions in the Albanian Civil Procedure Code (Article), which was repealed in 2013. As arbitration in Albania is underdeveloped and only recently regulated by a lex specialis modelled in line with UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration, this article attempts to analyse the settlement of competition law issues in Albania through arbitration. The article adopts a traditional legal approach by analysing and interpreting the current legal system and case law in the EU, China, and Albania.
